November Monthly Sale in the Book Nook at the Main Library

Our community’s needs go beyond regular budgets for library books, librarian salaries and computers provided by the city. Story Time and other activities for children, scholarships and events for youth, author talks and presentations for adults, represent some of the community benefits funded by the Friends. In 2015, we supported programs that the Library hosted, achieving a total of more than 12,000 attendees.

Our Impact

At the end of our fiscal year ending June 30, 2018, our fundraising included:

  • Book Sales: $1,395
  • Donations: $8,873
  • Membership: $670
  • Other: $321

The Friends of the Richmond Public Library contributed a total of $10,824 in funds toward library programs.
