The Friends of the Richmond Public Library is a charitable non-profit, all-volunteer organization that advocates for and provides critical program support to the Richmond Public Library. We support the Library’s mission of bringing literacy, learning and cultural enrichment to the Richmond community.

Our members and donors recognize the importance of our library. Beyond being storehouses of knowledge, libraries form the hearts of communities. Through free resources and programs, people can realize their full potential.  Thousands of kids, teens and adults benefit yearly from the Friends’ sponsored activities of our library.

Join Us — Together We’ll Make A Difference

Please consider supporting or joining the Friends of the Richmond Public Library as a donor, member, or volunteer! With your assistance, we can do even more!

Whether storytimes for kids or activities for teens and adults, we open doors of opportunity. The Friends help to supplement the Library’s budget from the City, which might not be able to meet all of the community’s needs.
